Who is J. Von Stratton
J. Von Stratton is a Designer and Entertainer.
J. Von Stratton is the label for my costume, bridal, and clothing line. Formerly I was known as Agent X Clothing. Agent X was created when I was 22 years old, and was making costumes out of plastics and strange materials for myself and friends. Over the following year it blossomed into a wholesale business. Still specializing in one-of-a-kind creations and limited run designs, but more wearable than the previous plastic attire.
In 2005, I happened to be walking past a little retail location available on Capitol Hill. 29 days later I was open for business. Agent X Clothing thrived as a retail location in Seattle's hip Capitol Hill neighborhood. In 2007 I closed the retail shop, to revamped the line to focus on custom costuming and bridal wear. Introducing Seattle to, J. Von Stratton Designs.
I've designed for a variety of people of all ages, genders, and sizes. As well as working continuously with Seattle businesses and charities, from Microsoft to Plymouth Housing Group; and theater companies such as Seattle Musical Theater and The Atomic Bombshells. I've also had the delight of working as a wardrobe assistant on FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance", and Lady Gaga's 2009 tour.
I am fortunate that what I encompass as a designer, goes hand in hand with who I am as an Entertainer. I have been a working Performance Artist and Dancer for a decade, and have traveled the world both as a solist and with the burlesque troupe, The Atomic Bombshells.
